The Small Town Social® Announces GLOWcon, First-Ever Personal Development Conference For Women in Pinehurst

January 11, 2024 (Pinehurst, NC) - The Small Town Social, a popular women’s networking group in Pinehurst, NC, is turning heads with the launch of GLOWcon, its first-ever ladies-only personal development conference, which is set to take place Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at The Fair Barn.

The full-day event is designed specifically for women 21+ who are eager to explore their passions, gain clarity, build confidence, expand connections, and shine their light in a safe and supportive environment that’s not too far from home. Comprised of uniquely interactive immersions, round table discussions, reflection, creativity workshops, expanded networking opportunities, lunch, light shopping, giveaways, and more, this unique conference is a chance for local women from all walks of life to G.L.O.W.: Grow your connections, Learn something new, Open your heart and Win with other women.

“I wanted to create an event that encouraged women to boldly step into their power, beyond just business. One that would give them a safe space to fully be themselves and not the version that’s just career, mom, caregiver, graduate, retiree, military spouse, [insert whatever other title].” says Liz Fleming, Founder and CEO of The Small Town Social®. “My goal with GLOWcon is to help the amazing women in our community nurture and embrace who they already are so they can thrive and feel continuously supported, without feeling the pressure to change or fit a certain mold.”

The Small Town Social® supports thousands of women across North Carolina (primarily Moore County) with its popular monthly socials, interactive personal + professional development workshops, off-site retreats, and, now Glowcon, which is already attracting women from as far as Raleigh, Raeford, Fayetteville, and Charlotte, NC.

As an award-winning marketer by trade, Liz brings her 12+ years of public relations experience to the group — a pivotal reason why The Small Town Social® has seen such exciting growth over the last few years. She’s been featured by Forbes and Business Insider and frequently speaks at events around the country about the power of growing relationships and networking. Liz will also be giving a keynote to kick off the highly-anticipated Spring event.

The conference is for women 21+ (the most popular range being ages 30-60) and takes place Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at The Fair Barn in Pinehurst, NC from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (doors at 8:30 AM). Pre-registration is required. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit The Children’s Legacy Partnership, a local non-profit organization supporting women worldwide.
