The Small Town Social® hosts one free women’s Social per month.
You sign up. You show up. You socialize.
Each event takes place at a different local venue around Moore County so we can support small businesses while gathering together.
Events typically run 5–7 PM, and you’re welcome to arrive anytime within that window. Some women stay the full time, others pop in for a quick hello. There’s no pressure.
RSVP is required so venues can prepare for the group.
You can find upcoming events and sign up here → thesmalltownsocial.com/socials
Most gatherings take place on Tuesday evenings, which tend to be quieter nights for local businesses.
The vibe is relaxed, welcoming, and intentionally low-pressure. Come solo or bring a friend. Either way, you’ll be greeted.

The Small Town Social® connects women throughout Moore County and the surrounding area.
Women attend from Southern Pines, Pinehurst, Aberdeen, Raleigh, Fayetteville and beyond.
This is a women-only community designed to create a comfortable space for connection.
Women of all backgrounds, careers, and life stages are welcome. Many attendees are in their late 20s through 50s, but we regularly see women outside that range too.
A few helpful notes:
• This is not a drinking club.
• It’s not just for moms or military spouses.
• It’s simply a welcoming place for women who want more connection in their lives. The only real requirement is kindness and a willingness to say hello.
-
Events rotate between local venues throughout Moore County, including Southern Pines, Pinehurst, and Aberdeen.
We intentionally partner with locally owned restaurants, cafés, breweries, and boutiques so attendees can discover new places while connecting with other women in the community.
-
Yes. Our monthly Socials are always free to attend, though guests purchase their own food or drinks from the venue if they’d like.
Keeping the gatherings free removes a barrier and makes it easier for women to show up, especially if they’re coming alone for the first time.
Occasionally we host special experiences or workshops that require a ticket, but the monthly Social will always remain free.
-
Our Socials are designed to be a chance for women to step away from daily responsibilities and enjoy uninterrupted conversation and connection.
For that reason, events are not kid-friendly and we ask that guests attend on their own.
We know many women are balancing full lives with families, careers, and everything in between. The goal of these gatherings is to create a relaxed space where everyone can be fully present and enjoy the time together.
-
You’ll check in, grab a drink if you’d like, and start mingling.
The atmosphere is relaxed and conversational. Some women chat in small groups, others meet one or two people and settle into longer conversations.
There’s no agenda, no speeches, and no awkward networking activities.
Just good conversation.

-
Absolutely.
Many women attend The Small Town Social® because they’re new to Moore County or simply looking to expand their local friendships.
It’s very common for women to arrive alone for their first event. The environment is intentionally designed to make that feel comfortable and easy.
-
Not at all. Many women attend their first Social completely on their own.
Liz hosts each gathering and helps introduce people throughout the evening so no one feels like they’re walking into a room alone.
-
You are not the only one.
Many women come to their first Small Town Social on their own and feel a little nervous walking in. That’s completely normal. The atmosphere is intentionally relaxed and welcoming so it’s easy to settle in and start a conversation.
Liz hosts each Social and helps introduce people throughout the evening, so you won’t feel like you’re walking into a room where everyone already knows each other.
If you’d like an extra layer of comfort, many women choose to join Inner Circle, our membership community. Members get to know each other between events, which makes walking into the Socials feel even more natural.
Inner Circle members also receive access to Liz’s Connect with Confidence course, which shares simple tools for starting conversations and feeling more at ease in social spaces.
Most women leave their first Social saying the same thing:
“I’m so glad I came.” -
Yes. While many Socials take place in Southern Pines and Pinehurst, we also gather in Aberdeen and other nearby towns throughout the year.
Supporting local businesses across the area is part of what makes this community special.
We tend to host most of our events in Southern Pines because it is so central for all of our guests. -
To keep the atmosphere relaxed and respectful for everyone, speaking time is reserved for the host and any supporting sponsors.
Our Socials are designed to feel natural and conversational rather than structured or promotional. For that reason, we ask guests not to make announcements, promote businesses to the entire group, collect signatures, or solicit attendees during the event.
That said, sharing what you do in conversation and exchanging business cards is absolutely encouraged. Many women in our community support one another’s work and discover great local businesses this way.
If you’re interested in formally introducing your business to the group, we offer sponsorship opportunities that include dedicated visibility at the event and throughout the month. You can learn more about sponsoring a Social here → thesmalltownsocial.com/sponsor-a-social
Most importantly, we ask all attendees to contribute to a kind, welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable connecting.
-
